We're excited to reveal that there's a new collaboration on the horizon! Composer Owain Park is working on a new piece for our Silver Baroque programme. While we are still very much in the planning stages, we can reveal that the composition will not only take inspiration from the 'night' and 'silver' themes of the existing programme, but also the constellation 'Cygnum' or 'The Swan'. In 1670 (during the Baroque period) astronomers discovered a new star which is near the head of the swan constellation and was known as the 'swan star'. We have found this, and the legends of the constellation, fascinating and can't wait to see what Owain comes up with. More on this very soon!
