At the end of June we were delighted to perform as part of the Brighton Early Music Festival, with a new programme to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee...' Eliza is the Fairest Queen'. This was a really fun mix of popular songs from both our Elizabethan reigns, with everything from Dowland to the Beatles in the same programme. Here at Fair Oriana you know we love a quirky twist to a programme so this was right up our street! We welcomed several guest performers for this concert, for the first time ever, and it was a delight to perform along side them! Thanks to Lucy Cox, Louise Duggan and Sergio Bucheli!
There are many great things about performing outside, and certainly many unpredictable things! The very loud ice cream van in the middle of Dowland's Time Stands Still was a favourite moment!
Thanks for having us BREMF and we look forward to a return performance of something very different next year. Watch this space!
