Introducing the talented lady behind our beautiful paintings! We loved the idea of combining fine art with our music to accompany our digital EPs (as downloads) and inside our final album. Meet Gillian Barrett! We found her on Instagram and fell in love with her ethereal floaty flower paintings which we thought were a a perfect match for us! 🌸🌼🌺
Gill is becoming an established artist and her passion is using vibrant alcohol inks, encaustic wax or acrylic paints to create abstract and expressive flowers, in particular. She loves the unpredictability of the flow of alcohol inks and is always pursuing new techniques. Gill produces distinctive and colourful interpretations of the flowers, animals and landscapes that inspire her. No two paintings are ever be the same; each is a unique piece of art. Gill lives in Gloucestershire, where she works as a Learning Support teacher.

Gill says: “I was really excited to be asked to collaborate with Penny and Angela on creating some unique alcohol ink artwork for their debut album. It quickly became apparent through our conversations that my expressive, artistic floral style would fit perfectly with their ethereal, engaging and beautiful music on ‘Two Voices’. Together we agreed which flower style and colours would best suit each of their themes of Happiness, Intrigue, Passion and Loss. The choice of flowers reflect the emotions and words in the nature-themed poems which accompany each EP.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Penny and Angie on this commission and I am really looking forward to seeing the artwork on their album cover designs. I wish this very talented soprano duo every success with their album.”
